Burger griddle temp guide
The best griddle temp for burgers, how hot to run it for a proper crust, and where buns should go if you are doing the full lot.
In short
For burgers on a griddle, aim for about 400-450F. That is the usual sweet spot for getting a solid crust without making life harder than it needs to be.
The rough idea
Burgers want more heat than a lot of people give them. Too cool and they go a bit grey and sad. Too hot and you can burn the outside before the middle has caught up.
How to split it
Keep burger patties on the hottest zone. If you are toasting buns as well, keep those on a gentler patch around 325-350F so they do not catch while the burgers finish.
Use the planner
Add burgers, buns and sides into the tool and get one clear burner plan instead of winging it.
