Bacon griddle temp guide
The best griddle temp for bacon, how hot to run the plate, and how to stop it going from pale to burnt too fast.
In short
For bacon on a griddle, start around 350-375F. That is usually the sweet spot for getting it crisp without rushing it.
The rough idea
Bacon needs enough heat to crisp, but not so much that it burns before the fat has had time to render out properly.
How to split it
Keep bacon on a medium zone rather than the hottest part of the griddle. If you are cooking eggs as well, keep those off to one side on a cooler patch.
Use the planner
Add bacon alongside eggs, hash browns or other breakfast stuff and get a simple heat-zone plan.
